Wilmarié du Plessis

Wilmarié du Plessis has been a lecturer at the NWU since 2012. She completed her doctoral studies 2021/22 at the NWU. Wilmarié teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students and is responsible for supervising students with their master’s and doctoral studies. Furthermore, she is involved in community projects relating to the field of Kinderkinetics.

She has several publications in National and International journals and have also attended and presented at National and International conferences. She was elected as the Vice-President of Training of the South-African Professional Institute for Kinderkinetics in 2022.

Her interest includes the neuro-motor development of young children, health-related factors influencing motor development and the effect of the environment on children’s motor development.
