Prof Maitumeleng Nthontho

Professor Maitumeleng Nthontho is a full Research Professor at the Edu-HRight Research Unit, North-West University, Potchefstroom campus. She holds a PhD in Education Management, Law, and Policy from the University of Pretoria. Over the past eight years, she has served as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor at the University of Pretoria. Professor Nthontho has completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, and is a recipient of several accolades, including the prestigious C2 NRF rating. Additionally, she has served as Principal Investigator for two research projects (2018-2024) between South African and Swedish universities (SASUF). Her research interests include Human Rights in Education, School Management and Governance, Policy Implementation, Mediation in Education, Mentorship and E-Mentoring in Higher Education and Religious Diversity in schools. Her fields of expertise include Education Management and Leadership, Educational Policy, Education Law and School Governance, Religion in Education. She has published articles in peer-reviewed and accredited journals and has delivered papers in national and international conferences.
