Do you want to learn more about what you can do with recyclable material?

Look no further; the North-West University (NWU) invites all students and members of the public to attend the Recycled Material Workshop that will be held on its campus in Potchefstroom on 14 and 15 September 2017.

This workshop can be attended on either 14 or 15 September.

On both days there will be two sessions: the morning sessions will be held from 09:30 until 13:00, and the afternoon sessions from 14:00 until 17:00.

This free workshop aims to empower attendees and teach them the necessary skills to repurpose recycled material.

The workshop will be presented by Robin Opperman from Umcebo Designs, an expert in this field.

Community members are requested to donate the following items for the workshop:

  1. Lots of plastic bottle lids, all colours
  2. Plastic milk bottles
  3. White cable ties
  4. Pliers (long nosed, side cutters, and short nosed)
  5. Potato sack ties and the equipment to fasten them
  6. Soldering irons and wire
  7. Kitchen cutters
  8. NT cutter knifes
  9. Lots of Bonox fencing (Faculty of Humanities will provide)
