CSRC 2017: leading the academic charge with distinction

The sixth President of the United States, John Quincy Adams, was once quoted as saying that true leaders are people who inspire others through their actions: “Leaders are individuals who inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and ultimately become more.”

When taking stock of the academic achievements of the respective members of the Vanderbijlpark Campus’s Student Representative Council (CSRC) during the previous academic year, it becomes clear that these 14 elected leaders are not only preaching the gospel of good academic performance, but are also actively practicing it. The CSRC members will start the new academic year with a combined pass rate of 96 percent and a total of 36 distinctions for the 2016 academic year.

The Campus Rector (acting), Prof Linda du Plessis, congratulated the student leaders on their sterling academic performance and commended them for leading by example.

The following students form part of the CSRC:

  • Lesego More, Chairperson
