Four students from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng – Casper Leepile, Pule Nage, Gaopalelwe Manake and Theo Motlhala – have recently been selected to represent the NWU at the South African Cross-country athletics.
The national competition will take place on 9 September at the NWU’s Campus in Potchefstroom.
Casper and Theo will be participating in the under-23 category, while Gaopalelwe and Pule will be participating in the senior category.
“This is a huge motivation for me, and I am sure for the others as well,” said Casper. “Running has always been my favourite sport and being afforded the opportunity to represent my university in something that I have immense passion for, is truly a blessing.”
These four students will soon represent the NWU at the South African Cross-country athletics.
