Bodybuilders flex muscles at USSA

The bodybuilding team of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark made their presence known at the recent University Sports South Africa (USSA) tournament in Secunda. For the second year running, the team from NWU Vanderbijlpark finished their USSA campaign with a national second place ranking.

Several bodybuilders enjoyed a podium finish while coach Raphael Ntumba has been elected by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) and the USSA executive committee as USSA’s national bodybuilding coach.

Bodybuilders achieve
Tebo Malebane was crowned as the 2018 winner in the under 85 kg USSA bodybuilding division. He was also awarded with the prestigious title as Best Poser. His good performance at the tournament also saw him being included in the SA student bodybuilding team.

In the Female Beach Bikini division, Kati Moloi walked away with the title while her team mates Chane Dennis and Natasha de Lange finished second and sixth respectively.

Mduduzi Msiza won the 90 kg bodybuilding division. Team mates Ayanda Piyo and Matlatse Mokhola both boast podium positions with a first place and a third place ranking respectively.
