Another player from the North-West University (NWU) Soccer Institute, Cameron Chweu, recently signed with a National First Division team.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club is based in the Limpopo Province. The club purchased the National First Division status of Milano United FC in July 2017.Cameron is a BEd graduate from the Central University of Technology and is currently pursuing an honours degree in education at the NWU.
Cameron has also been part of the University Sports South Africa National team that took part in the CUCSA games that was held in Botswana in June 2018. He has previously taken part in the Varsity Football tournament in 2016 and 2017, and was selected as part of the top 18 in the Nedbank Keyona Team Search.
The Bloemhof born-and-raised soccer talent credits his family – and his mother in particular – for their unwavering belief and support shown to him as he pursues his first love, football.
“I am very thankful for the opportunity to play football at this professional level. I am also very grateful to the Soccer Institute for laying a good foundation. I will continue to do my best for my new team,” says Cameron.
