Golden Key Chapter celebrates high-status standing

The North-West University’s (NWU’s) branch of the Golden Key International Honour Society is going from strength to strength.

Just recently the chapter at the campus in Vanderbijlpark was awarded the coveted Gold Chapter Standing, for its involvement and adherence to the society’s pillars of academics, leadership and service. This was done through the active implementation and participation in events, fundraising and service projects.

Golden Key uses chapter standards to gauge each chapter’s performance and subsequently award chapters a bronze, silver or gold status.  A gold standard status represents the highest possible reporting standard in the society and bears testament to a commitment and dedication to go above and beyond the call of duty. Less than 25% of chapters are awarded this recognition.

Making an impact globally

Globally the society is affiliated with more than 400 universities throughout Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, New Zeeland, South Africa and the United States. It’s mission is to enable members to realise their potential by connecting individual achievement with service and lifelong-learning opportunities. Golden Key South Africa – as officiated in 2000 – has thus far touched the lives of more than 70 000 young South Africans.
