UARM delivers five master’s graduandi during Autumn Graduation Ceremony

The Autumn Graduation Ceremony of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark saw the Centre for Applied Risk Management (UARM) celebrate the graduation of five MARM graduates. These graduates represent the third cohort of MARM alumni since the inception of the two-year part-time programme in 2014.

“We are extremely proud of our total of 19 MARM graduates up to now and look forward to delivering another strong group of graduates in 2018,”says Prof Hermien Zaaiman, manager and associate professor at UARM.

She adds that the fully employed MARM students have so far achieved a high throughput rate of 66% within three years of starting the programme, with the majority of these students graduating within the minimum two-year period. “This remarkable success rate for a master’s degree programme can be attributed to our student commitment combined with the diligent support of the extended UARM supervisory and Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences management teams,” says Prof Zaaiman.

* Malora Zeller was named as the MARM Top Graduate.
