It is said that sweat plus sacrifice equals success. When one looks at the scorecard of the past weekend, the rugby teams from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark seem to be in agreement.
“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone”. These wise words by former American president Ronald Reagan were befitting during the annual Canned Food Day event that recently took place on the North West University’s campus in Potchefstroom.
“Violence is a huge problem within our society. It doesn’t only come with physical and emotional cost, but also with an economic cost. People who have experienced violence have higher incidences of illness and early death and can therefore not contribute to the economy in the long run.”
As a continuation of its Human Rights Month celebrations, the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng hosted a Law Colloquium on 22 March 2018.
