Registration 2017: Applying for the missing middle fee adjustment grant

With the 2017 academic year just around the corner the North-West University (NWU) is a buzz with activity as the new intake of first year students as well as senior students prepare to register.

In light of the national development around fees at universities, the NWU - via the Office of the Executive Director of Finance and Facilities, would like to communicate the information, as it pertains to the application process for the missing middle fee adjustment grant. Please note that applications have already opened, and the closing date is 28 February 2017 for the first semester.

Government will pay the fee increase capped at 8 percent for all qualifying registered students with a gross combined family income up to R600 000 per annum in 2017. This is a grant and will not have to be repaid by qualifying students. The grant will only cover tuition fees and accommodation provided by universities.
