NWU Staff Sports Club Potchefstroom closes the year with energy, fun and Red Bull support

Shouts of encouragement, playful competition and the clatter of spoons against eggs filled the air as the NWU Staff Sports Club Potchefstroom wrapped up its year with a high-energy closing celebration on 5 December.

Staff members eagerly took part in a range of activities designed to encourage participation and enjoyment. Tug of war challenges tested teamwork and strength, while egg and spoon races demanded focus and balance. Taste tests added an element of curiosity and laughter, keeping the atmosphere light and engaging throughout the afternoon.

Red Bull contributed to the vibrancy of the event by sponsoring the drinks through its North-West University representatives. The support was warmly welcomed and helped sustain the upbeat energy that carried participants from one activity to the next.

Reflecting on the year, chairperson Mario Chauque described it as a beautiful and successful one for the club. He said the club performed exceptionally well and expressed excitement about the future, noting the continued growth and enthusiasm shown by staff members.

The celebration offered a moment to reflect on a year marked by participation, wellness and shared experiences. As the event drew to a close, the Club looked ahead with confidence, eager to build on the strong foundation laid during a memorable year.
