NWU hosts another successful career fair

The North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng hosted its annual Career Fair on 22 August 2019 at the Campus Student Centre

The aim of the event was to create a suitable and accessible platform for students to explore their career pathways by bringing them in to contact with various companies offering employment in their study areas.

Furthermore the career fair aims to close the gaps between students, academics and employers, promoting continuing engagement with stakeholders which allows the university to contribute optimally to the development of well-rounded graduates.

“The event was a huge success,” says Mphinyana Nemasitoni, campus liaison officer. “It made it easier for students to engage with the different companies’ representatives. Approximately 250 students actively engaged with them.”

SAICA, Maponya Attorneys, BP, Work in China, FNB, and the ETDP SETA were all part of the exhibition, informing final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students of career prospects.
