The football club of the North-West University’s Vanderbijlpark Campus has signalled their intentions for the remainder of the season by announcing the signing of four new players from the ranks of the Kaizer Chiefs Football Academy.

Four players from the academy enrolled at the Vanderbijlpark Campus to further their studies and to don the green and white Campus soccer jersey. The players: TS Galane, MM Sithole, N Mbiza and S Hlengwa will pursue their studies within the fields of BCom Industrial Psychology and Labour Relations Management; BA Public Management with Human Resources and Labour Relations Management and BCom Sport and Recreation Management.

According to the Campus’s Sports Officer, Thomas Thema, these players represent the latest key signings for the team. He says he hopes the four players, through their skills and experience, will help the club write an exciting new chapter in its football history by contributing towards winning the league and subsequently proceed to play in the ABC Motsepe League.

“We finished third last season in the SAB League, but this time we are aiming for greater heights. Currently we are sitting on position six on the log standings with two games in hand but if we play well, this is enough to ensure a spectacular finish,” says the optimistic Thema.

He further says that the club is not done signing new talent and more star players will be announced soon. "These are not our final signings for the year. We are busy negotiating with two more players from the Kaizer Chiefs Academy. It is indeed a very exciting time for the club!”
