Just more than a month left for applications for the Missing Middle Fee Adjustment Grant

The first closing date for applications for the Missing Middle Fee Adjustment Grant is on 28 February 2017, leaving students with just more than a month to go.

In light of the national development around fees at universities, the NWU - via the Office of the Executive Director of Finance and Facilities, would like to communicate the information, as it pertains to the application process for the missing middle fee adjustment grant. Please note that applications have already opened.

In short, the grant represents the subsidy which the government will provide to cover the eight percent tuition increase for all qualifying registered students with a gross family income of R600 000 and less per annum in 2017. This is not a loan, but a grant. Students can apply via the NWU website or by completing a paper application form that is available at the Financial Support Office on each of the NWU campuses.
