Six football players of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark have been selected for the U/21 USSA (University Sport South Africa) football squad. This team will take part in the 2017 rendition of the SAB League Championships in Soweto.
A group of 22 players have been called-up to the training camp which will take place in Vereeniging and from here the coaches will elect the 18 players to form the final squad.
Representing the campus in Vanderbijlpark are:

- Sibongiseni Hlengwa
- Kavendree Makhene
- Mduduzi Sithole
- Trinity Tshivhase
