Dr Duduzile Dlamini-Boemah has conducted research in both Environmental education and Tourism. Her area of interest is interpretive guiding for tourists. Academic knowledge and experience that she obtained throughout her University studies in environmental education, environmental management and ecotourism has enriched her expertise in interpretive guiding for tourists. Her PhD studies which focused on the factors that determine the interpretive effectiveness of ecotour guides in South African National Parks, exposed her to research on interpretive guiding in tourism. She has written research papers on interpretive guiding in cultural and natural areas and has presented some of the research work at national and international conferences. She has been involved in lecturing a number of tourism modules such as Cultural and Heritage Tourism, Tour Operations Management and Ecotourism.
