Stefanie to fly the NWU flag high during the CAA African Senior Athletics Championships

Stefanie Greyling, a BCom Sport and Recreation Management student, from the Vaal Triangle Campus of the North-West University (NWU Vaal) will join the cream of South Africa’s athletic fraternity for the CAA African Senior Athletics Championship in Durban this week. 

The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) will be hosting the African Senior Athletics Championships for the 20th time this year. The championship will take place from 22 – 26 June 2016 and will be hosted at the renewed Kings Park Athletics Stadium.  A total of 96 South African athletes (52 men and 44 women) will take part in this prestigious championships.

Stefanie will be competing in the hammer throw division together with Margo Chene Coetzee and Marga Cumming. Stefanie – who lives in Sasolburg in the Free State, is currently the South African hammer throw champion. She reached this milestone during the South African Senior Athletics Championship in Stellenbosch when she reached a distance of 54.61m.
