Project management training to the hearing impaired

The Potchefstroom Business School is continuously busy reaching out to the greater community in terms of the marketing of expertise.  Therefore, the PBS also recently presented a course in project management to a group of 25 people with disabilities at Motheo FET College in Bloemfontein.

Training for people with disabilities provides unique challenges in terms of accessibility of training venues, ablution facilities, as well as adjustments to accommodate, among others, the deaf. During this training session, which took place on 24 to 25 April, the PBS also made use of two sign language interpreters to communicate the lecture to the hearing impaired.

This event was made possible by the ETDP SETA.

This specific session was presented by Prof Christo Bisschoff from the Potchefstroom Business School, and the next one will take place in May and will be presented by Prof Stéphan van der Merwe, also from the Potchefstroom Business School.
