NWU solar car arrives in Australia

The North-West University’s latest solar energy creation, the Sirius X25, recently arrived in Sydney, Australia for this year's participation in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge.

Prof Albert Helberg, team leader, said the vehicle would have been shipped, but because of complications and delays they had to dig deep in their pocket to make use of air transport. “The main concern was for the vehicle to arrive on time in Australia for the competition which starts on 18 October. At least we crossed that hurdle and we can now focus on the last planning,” says Helberg.
