NWU School of Agriculture participates in Provincial Agricultural Show
The School of Agricultural Sciences at the Mafikeng Campus of the North-West University (NWU) recently participated in the Annual Provincial Agricultural Show. The show, which is presented for the first time this year, was hosted at Kgora Farmer Training Centre near Mafikeng from 24 - 26 November.
The Agricultural Show is aimed at creating an enabling platform for the government, private sector, farmers, entrepreneurs and students to showcase agricultural capabilities around the province. It created an ideal opportunity for producers and suppliers to display their produce and drew stakeholders from national and global spheres to network and exchange information.
“The Department of Crop Science showcased their activities and was accompanied by the student recruitment team to recruit prospective students for that programme,” commented the School Director, Prof Victor Mlambo.
