NWU´s solar car reached halfway mark

Yesterday, the North-West University´s solar car team reached the halfway mark of the Sasol Solar Challenge in Graaff Reinet. They have already covered 1999.5km, and are on their way to Port Elizabeth today.

The team is still in fourth place, with the Netherlands, Japan and Hungary in the first three places. Sunny weather was forecasted for today, so the Sirius X25 should be able to cover another good couple of kilometres.

Visit the Facebook page for more, and also see their latest video. Here you will see how the team uses portable weather stations to adjust their strategy.
