Not Kilimanjaro, but a MBA!
“We couldn’t climb Kilimanjaro and then decided on a MBA!” These are the words of Marina Wiese, a lady from Potchefstroom who was quite recently selected as the best MBA dissertation student of the NWU Potchefstroom Business School. In 2011 both Marina and her ralph lauren outlet australia husband, Stephan, have registered for a MBA and describes it as a wonderful experience specifically because they completed their degrees together. Their main reasons were personal growth and development.
Her dissertation was about trademark loyalty and was completed under the study leadership of Prof Christo Bisschoff, an excellent researcher and lecturer in Marketing Management in the MBA Programme. “The passion of the lecturers for their work and the way they build relationships with students will stay with me always.”
The AMBA International accreditation awarded to the business school at the end of 2013 was definitely a high for Marina. “This places the business school on a childrens ralph lauren outlet higher level and makes students and alumni very proud of their alma mater!”
The NWU Potchefstroom Business School also celebrates their 50th anniversary this year as a supplier of quality management training, management programmes and ability development.
Marina is an expert when it comes to balancing her career and family life and she also became a first time mother quite recently.
She was awarded as the best dissertation student during a formal MBA dinner on 22 May and received the sought-after silver medal from the Professional Provident Society (PPS). The medal for the best dissertation forms part of a relationship between the NWU and PPS for many years now. Die Old Mutual gold medal was also awarded at the same ceremony to Mr Johnny Neri, a financial manager at Safripol in Vanderbijlpark as the best achiever of the year.
