Law students make the Mafikeng Campus proud

Law Students from Mafikeng Campus made the campus proud when they were announced as overall winners during the Inter-Campus Juta-NWU Criminal Mock Trial Competition. This Annual Inter-campus Juta-NWU Criminal Mock Trial Competition was held on the 8-9 September 2014 at NWU, Potchefstroom Campus.

Mafikeng Campus had two teams in the semi-finals, both a second and third year LLB group of students.

 

The presiding officer during the finals was Judge Leonie Windel a Supreme Court judge.Students from Mafikeng Campus were announced as the overall winners and were each awarded a tablet and a book prize.

“The Inter-campus NWU Criminal Mock Trail was a wonderful opportunity for our campus and for our law students to develop trial advocacy skills as well as to interact with students from the two sister campuses” said Mrs E Gresse a Law Lecturer and Faculty representative at the Mock trial.
