Hard work pays off
Professor Nico Schutte from the Faculty of Commerce and Administration at the North-West University´s (NWU´s) Mafikeng Campus has been nominated for a South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) award. The nomination stems from the hard work he has put into research while completing his second PhD in Human Resource Competency Measurement.
The SABPP is a professional body in the field of Human Resources.
He is the only academic from the three campuses of the NWU to be nominated by the SABPP. The awards are part of a two-day event from 27 to 28 July 2016 at Vodacom World, Midrand, Gauteng.
The purpose of the Human Resource Standards initiative driven by SABPP is to reduce inconsistencies in HR practice and to provide a common and standardized framework for sound HR practice. The HR Standards project enabled the HR profession to improve its credibility, status and impact in the workplace.
