Present at the ceremony were Tourism MEC Desbo Mohono, MEC for Finance, Ms Wendy Nelson and the NWU Mafikeng Campus Rector, Prof Mashudu Davhana-Maselesele.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Nelson applauded the officials for taking up the challenge by empowering themselves with a valuable and significant tool, namely education.

“The best gift that any living being receives is that of education. It plays a very important part in our lives," she said.

She further encouraged officials who were graduating to use the knowledge to improve financial management in the province in order to work towards improving future audit outcomes.
