Do not miss the NWU Faculty of Engineering’s Open Day
The Faculty of Engineering on the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University (NWU) will host an Open Day on 30 June for learners that are interested in Engineering. The exhibition’s primary aim is to foster a passion for engineering in learners and to encourage them to make a positive difference in the world.
The Open Day comprises exciting exhibitions with persons that are ready to answer any questions by learners, as well as demonstrations and many prizes to be won. The Open Day affords learners and their parents the opportunity to find out more about what the campus offers them and about the kind of student life that they can expect.
Below is the schedule for the course of the day:
10:00 - 12:00: Exhibitions on the Lawn (Drones, Bat mobile, FIAP, Glider, Extruder (TBC), Baja car, FIAP, Chemical Magic Show)
12:00: Welcome, Dean
12:15: Industrial Engineering Introduction
12:25: Chemical and Mineral Engineering Introduction
12:35: Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Introduction
12:45: Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Electromechanical Engineering Introduction
13:00: NWU Introduction
13:10 - 14:00: Personal question and answer session with Directors
