Bridging the mathematical gap

The Faculty of Commerce and Administration at the Mafikeng Campus of the North-West University (NWU), has introduced a short course to bridge the mathematical gap. This course is specifically aimed at those students and learners who wish to improve their marks in Mathematics.

The two-week course is scheduled to take place from 16 – 28 January 2017 at the Mafikeng Campus. The cost will be R2 000 per student.

Learners who want to study a BSc degree, but did not obtain the required marks in Mathematics may now apply for this short course. If the student improves his or her Maths score after completing the course, the faculty will use the new score to allow students into one of the BCom degree programmes that are offered. It will be for a full BCom degree and not for the BCom extended programme.

This offer is only for students who want to improve their Mathematics mark and is only valid for studying at the Mafikeng Campus. Students who have done Mathematics Literacy are excluded from this offer.

Bridging the mathematical gap is an ideal opportunity for realising your BCom dream. Applications close on 11 January and interested students may contact Ms Roseline April at 018 3892473 or send an email to
