“Real wealth is health” – I have specialised in resistance training for health and weight management and am passionate about all aspects involving; wellness coaching, an holistic approach to weight management and chronic diseases of lifestyle as well as mindful movement. Through attending varies workshops and conferences, reading literature and other sources I aim to explore all there is and am exciting to learn more of these concepts wherever I go and who ever I meet. One size doesn’t fit all…the more I learn, the more I see, there is much more to learn and understand…
I have experience in lecturing Management Accounting and Financial management and Research. I aim to empower students to understand the topics being lectured rather than to memorise facts and adding value to their careers. In my quest to instil life-long learning, I do research on integrated financial models and cross disciplinary topics.

Tshombe obtained his PhD in Public Management and Administration from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and his Honours in Public Affairs, and Master’s degree in Energy Studies from University of Cape Town. He worked as junior researcher at Energy and Development Research Centre at University of Cape Town.
Nicole has profound technical and practical knowledge in the field public health nutrition with focus on food and nutrition security, sustainable diets, food environments, agriculture-nutrition linkages, traditional food knowledge and food systems. She has sound expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methodologies and transdisciplinary approaches, as well as project management, research, student teaching and supervision.
I have experience in lecturing accounting and auditing. I aim to involve students in such a way that they understand the topics being lectured rather than to memorise facts. In my quest to instil life-long learning, I do research on how to integrate basic IT skills in the core modules of Accountancy.
Dr Ndlela's field of expertise is South African and African-American Literature. He is currently working with Professor I.S. Mekoa: (Research Professor in the School of Research and Postgraduate Studies) in a Research Project titled: “Culture, Identity & Nation-Building in South Africa”.

Dr Vicki Koen is a registered Research Psychologist and Registered Counsellor who has been involved with the NWU since 2011. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychosocial Health at the Mafikeng Campus of the NWU. With an interest in familial relationships, Vicki did her first Master’s degree in Psychology on the parent-adolescent relationship and adolescent well-being. The same year she completed a B-Psych internship in counselling or counsellor in training practicum at the NWU Vaal Triangle Campus.
I am a qualified Biokineticist and performed post-graduate research in focus area of Biokinetics, Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics. I enjoy the different fields of Biokinetics and have been fortunate to teach in the various fields of this profession. Exposure to different aspects taught me that my interest lies within the Biokinetics profession’s rehabilitation of sport and the orthopaedics. Currently I am teaching the modules, Orthopaedics (Honours), Research Methods and Biokinetics (third years) and fully enjoy the work I am blessed to do.
Herman van Dyk is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa), Associate Chartered Accountant (England and Wales) and a Master Tax Practitioner (SA). He holds a Master of Commerce cum laude in South African and International Taxation (North-West University) and his dissertation entitled “Grounds for allowing a tax deduction for employee share incentives” received the award for best dissertation.

I have an interest in the role and function of religion in psychological well-being. This area of interest includes the exploration of culturally informed philosophies of life and their influence on religious and spiritual expression; the role of religion and spirituality in coping and meaning making as well as mindfulness as spiritual practice and psychotherapeutic intervention. I enjoy qualitative research because I am interested in people’s stories and how these express their ways of understanding their lives and how they give meaning to their experiences.
