Marelie H Davel

Marelie Davel is a Research Professor at North-West University (NWU), specialising in machine learning and the data-driven modelling of speech and language. Her current research focuses on generalisation in deep learning.

Marita Carnelley

Marita Carnelley is a law professor, having taught Family law for two decades at three South African universities. Her current research focuses on maintenance and diversity issues. She is the co-editor of the Oxford University Press textbook on South African Family Law and has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in the area. 

Leoné Malan

Leoné Malan, registered teacher and nurse, commenced with research in 2007 and holds the position of full professor at the North-West University (NWU), Potchefstroom Campus. Her passion for Neurophysiology teaching ensured a teaching excellence award in 2008. Rated as an established researcher (National Research Foundation), she aims to underpin a mechanistic pathway pertaining brain-heart health (emotional stress, neural and adrenal fatigue, hypertension and endothelial dysfunction).

Frank Winde

Frank is a German citizen and came to SA as part of the Excellence Programme of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina investigating waterborne uranium migration in mining areas of Germany, South Africa, Australia and Namibia.

Elsa Mentz

Ek het my professionele loopbaan begin as hoërskoolwiskundeonderwyser en is vir die afgelope 25 jaar betrokke by onderwysersopleiding.  Ek is die laaste 16 jaar aktief betrokke by die opleiding van Inligtingstegnologie-onderwysers en het reeds twee boeke en verskeie navorsingsuitsette in hierdie veld gepubliseer.

Riaan Rossouw

Riaan is 'n mikro-ekonoom met meer as tien jaar se konsultasie-, navorsings- en onderrigervaring. Hy is tans mede-professor in die Skool vir Ekonomie aan die Noordwes-Universiteit se Potchefstroomkampus.

CG du Toit

Jat du Toit is ʼn professor in Meganiese Ingenieurswese aan die Noordwes-Universiteit. Hy het die grade BIng (Hons) (Siviel) en MIng (Siviel) aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch en PhD aan die Universiteit van Cambridge behaal. Hy het al meer as 100 artikels in internasionale en nasionale tydskrifte en konferensieverrigtinge gepubliseer en is die mederedakteur van die verrigtinge van twee konferensies.
