I am a trained Physiologist and appointed as Associated Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences with lecturing duties in the School of Physiology of the North-West University, along with research duties within the Hypertension in Africa Research Team (HART).
Sonja Grater is an associate professor in the School of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). She lectures undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of international trade, and also gained practical experience in the freight forwarding industry before joining the University.
My research career began in 2007 when I joined the North-West University as a Senior Lecturer. I later enrolled for a PhD and completed a thesis entitled “The evaluation of the General Psychological Well-being and the Mental Health Continuum Models in an African context”, awarded in 2011. Prior to that, my MSc dissertation focused on the validation of the Values-In-Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS). Between 2007 and 2012 I worked as a Clinical Psychologist at a University-based counselling and therapy centre. During this time, I continued to do research and teach.
Henri Bezuidenhout is an associate professor in the School of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). He has several publications to his credit in the area of international factor flows, and his research mainly focuses on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Africa.
I have taught and conducted research on identity formation for the past 10 years. My focus on identity falls within the context of relations, whether families or communities. I specifically view identity formation from a Gestalt theoretical perspective.
My research career started in 2003 on managing teacher turnover with a paper published in the South African Journal of Education in 2003.
Jan van Romburgh (CA (SA)) holds a Master of Commerce in Management Accounting, obtained from the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University (NWU) in 2009, and is a member of the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners (ICFP), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
Namibian-born Klaus D. Beiter holds B.Iur. LL.B. degrees (both obtained with distinction) from the University of South Africa, Pretoria, and a doctorate in international human rights law (obtained summa cum laude) from the University of Munich, Germany, where he wrote his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bruno Simma (formerly a Judge at the International Court of Justice).
Both my MEd (1988) and DEd (1992) degrees were obtained from the RAU (now UJ), in the field of teacher education.
My university career started in 1988 at the Vista University in the Faculty of Education. With the merging of higher education institutions in 2004, I became part of the School of Education of the Vaal Campus of the NWU. During my university career I lectured several undergraduate and post graduate modules, supervised a number of Masters and Doctoral students and filled various managerial positions.
I have been a lecturer and researcher in the field of Physical Education for over 15 years now, I have been an author of various publications (15+ articles and two book chapters) in the field and I have been a supervisor / promotor of five post-doctoral students so far. I have been the principle researcher in two national research projects from which several publications have come forth.
Prof Martin van Eldik het sy PhD in Meganiese Ingenieurswese verwerf aan die Noordwes Universiteit in
Potchefstroom. Hy is 'n medeprofessor in die Skool vir Meganiese en Kerningenieurswese waar sy navorsingsgroep
fokus op navorsing relevant tot die termovloei industrie met die klem op energiestelsels. Dit sluit in navorsing
rondom die volgende generasie van hittepompe insluitend die gebruik van CO2 as koelmiddel vir hoë temperatuur
applikasies. Martin is ook 'n Besigheidseenheid bestuurder by M-Tech Industrial (Pty) Ltd met die fokus hoofsaaklik
Prof Anja Franken het haar PhD graad in Beroepshigiëne behaal aan die Noordwes-Universiteit se Potchefstroom kampus in 2015. Sy is ŉ medeprofessor by die Skool vir Fisiologie, Voeding en Verbruikerswetenskappe by die Noordwes-Universiteit se Potchefstroom kampus waar sy nagraadse Beroepshigiëne modules doseer. Sy het meer as 8 jaar ervaring in lesings aanbied by die Noordwes-Universiteit.
Nadat ek by die NWU met onderskeidings in al 31 semestermodules as die toppresteerder in die fakulteit gegradueer het, het ek as geoktrooieerde rekenmeester gekwalifiseer en het die vyfde plek landswyd in IRBA se Publieke Praktykeksamen (PPE) in 2005 behaal.
