Jacques Petzer

Jacobus Petrus Petzer, BPharm, MSc, PhD (NWU) is a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the NWU.  He has extensive experience in medicinal chemistry and drug design.  His research interest is the rational design of drugs that block the function of the monoamine oxidase enzymes.  He has supervised numerous postgraduate students and has published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals.

Leoné Malan

Leoné Malan, registered teacher and nurse, commenced with research in 2007 and holds the position of full professor at the North-West University (NWU), Potchefstroom Campus. Her passion for Neurophysiology teaching ensured a teaching excellence award in 2008. Rated as an established researcher (National Research Foundation), she aims to underpin a mechanistic pathway pertaining brain-heart health (emotional stress, neural and adrenal fatigue, hypertension and endothelial dysfunction).

Jan du Preez

Jan du Preez, PhD (PU for CHE) is laboratory manager of the Analytical Technology Laboratory in the Centre of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Sciences and professor in Pharmaceutics at the NWU.  As an expert in analytical chemistry, one of his main functions is the development and validation of analytical methods for researchers and graduate students.  He has supervised numerous post-graduate students and is the author/co-author of a patent as well as several papers in peer-reviewed international journals.

Lesetja Jan Legoabe

Lesetja J Legoabe is ʼn senior lektor aan Pharmacen (Sentrum van Uitnemendheid vir Farmaseutiese Wetenskappe) van die Fakulteit Gesondheidswetenskappe aan die Noordwes-Universiteit se Potchefstroomkampus. Sy navorsing behels chemiese sintese, ensieminhibisie en geneesmiddelontwerp vir siektes van die sentrale senuweestelsel, soos Parkinson se siekte.

Sandra van Dyk

Sandra van Dyk het die grade BPharm, MSc en PhD behaal aan die Noordwes-Universiteit (voorheen die Potchefstroomse Universiteit Vir Christelike Hoër Onderwys) en is tans werksaam as ʼn medeprofessor en as direkteur van die Skool vir Farmasie in die Fakulteit Gesondheidswetenskappe.

Martha Susanna Lubbe

Martha Susanna Lubbe is in Springs gebore as die jongste dogter van wyle   Peet en Betsie Griesel. Sy voltooi haar skoolloopbaan in 1982 aan Potchefstroom Gimnasium-Hoërskool. Martie verwerf haar BPharm-graad (Cum Laude) in 1986, 'n MPharm-graad in Farmasiepraktyk (1988), ‘n Diploma in Tersiêre Onderwys (1996) en ‘n PhD in Farmasiepraktyk (2000) aan die voormalige PU vir CHO. Die titel van haar PhD-proefskrif is "Managed pharmaceutical care: A South African approach". Sy is sedert 1995 met Willie getroud en hulle het ‘n dogter, Leonore, en ‘n seun, Dewald.
